Getting Around Laoag
Getting around Laoag is kindly tricky and hard. From the airport there is a free shuttle bus provided by the Department of Tourism, if it's not available then you can take a tricycle and just tell them to drop you to your hotel. Fare: Php 20.00/pax
For a La Paz Sand Dune, Fort Ilocandia, Paoay, Batac Circumferential tour a tricycle would cost you Php 600.00 pesos. Car rental comes with a driver and that same trip would cost you Php 3,500/4 pax already. A van would cost more depending on it's capacity.

From Laoag City you can hop on a bus (Php 60.00/pax ordinary bus; Php 80.00/pax airconditioned bus) or ask your car rental to drive you up north to Pagudpud Town. This is a white sand beach with surfing waves around two hours drive from Laoag City. There are two white sand beaches in this part of the province--Saud Beach and Blue Lagoon Beach; between them is a 20 minute drive. Saud Beach is located at Pagudpud town while Blue Lagoon is Located further up north.
