Bus schedules are intermittent and can be either 30 minutes apart or 2 hours. Ceres bus lines travels all the way to Maya wharf and would cost around Php 85.00/pax.
From Maya wharf take a boat to Malapascua Island, the boat schedule is also intermittent and tentative. Local fare is Php 50.00 at most but they charge toursit different rate. So contact your hotel for boat transfers.

This a very small island, so walking around wouldn't take an hour or so. The hotels are very cheap and the folks living (fishing village all over the island) are quite nice. Most of the tourist who comes here are divers (wanting to see thresher sharks) who appreciates the low key tourism approach and very laid back environment. I would also like to add that most of the tourist/divers here are European and Japanese wanting to see those sharks.
Tip on dining: avail the eat all you can offers, it would cost you less than ordering individual food.
