Phuket, Thailand

From my previous post (Singapore) we headed to Hat Yai, Thailand as a jump off point to Phuket. After 12 hour bus trip (surprisingly comfortable), together with "uncle jack" (a friend we had during that journey) was kind enough to bring us to the local travel agency shop that books ticket for Phuket (turns out that bus from Hat Yai to Phuket travels only at night),we then had a breakfast at a muslim store since it was the only one open at that time. Due to exhaustion forgot to take a pic of the food but it was made of a thin bread with egg and then topped with something spicy. Pretty damn tasty with coffee.

The  travel to Phuket via van is horrendous I'm not doing it again, all through out our 8 hour trip the driver keeps on playing thai music and it was so uncomfortable, stops everytime and just plain stupid idea at that time.
Tip: book plane ticket to Phuket from Singapore via AirAsia, never do what i did.

While in Phuket there's only one place you want to be and it would be at PAtong Beach. The place is crazy fun. You will never run out of things to do. The hotels here are cheap, so as the beer and entertainment. It has a mall smack in the middle. The beach is superb and sugary fine.

Total Cost:
Singapore- Hat Yai, Thailand              SG$    39
Hat Yai - Phuket                                   THB 450
Food                                                        THB 250

Bear in mind
That taxi cab is rare in this part of Thailand that transportation is by motor taxi.
Be courteous Thais like it that way
Take off you shoes when going in a store (of if you see shoes ans slippers outside the door), it's a thai thing.
If you can't tolerate their food, there is alway 711 practically everywhere--it's a thai way of life I guess.
Always keep ample amount of Baht with you, exchange rates are awful here and Thais sometimes can't be trusted.

What to do
*island hop with a big yacht
*eat at an eat-all-you-can shabu shabu at Phuket City
*party at patong beach
Kai Island

The Beach

Mall @ Patong Beach

Enjoy!
By the way everything is cheap here.
